Tuesday Tales, Aussie Style

Meet Miss Gabriel!

*********************************************************************************
UPDATE:  Gabby died suddenly yesterday after playing ball.  The Howells were devastated.  She seemed to be getting better, but it was not to be.  Thank you all for your caring and concern.

Soooooooo, I make dog clothes and got an order from someone who wanted dog pajamas.  Then they got back to me about needing some lightweight stuff for the summer because their dog had mange.

As I got to know them and found out more, I heard about Gabby's story.

This is how she looked when the Howells first got her.

Her story:

I am, only temporarily, a special needs baby.... I rescued myself by breaking loose the day before my previous owner was going to kill and bury me in the backyard. I went through three months of treatment for Emaciation, Lyme Disease, possible Allergies, Anemia, Demodex Mites, Pruritus, Corneal Dystrophy, SIBO, possible EPI, MRSA, Skin Ulcers, Fungus and Yeast under a shelters care but they couldn't afford to continue. Monthly medical cost is over $1200. So I was adopted by my foster family! Please share and like my touching story to help encourage others fighting this expensive and long battle.... There's so many out there and there is a light at the end of the tunnel... Being very sick is not a death sentence. I am now three months into recovery and continuing to improve everyday!! My page documenting my recovery can be found here. Please help me finish my story.

The Howells have a Go Fund Me account to help them meet the needs of her expensive treatment.

This sweet girl has such a will to live.  The Howells did adopt her so she has a forever home.  Now, it would be fantastic to see her get the help she needs!
