Fit Dog Friday in the Country, Aussie Style.

Mom says we're really lucky!  She says that people in town always have to have leashes on their dogs or be in a fenced yard when they are outside.  Is that true?

Since we are in a rural area and pretty far from other people or the road, we get to go out and play in the hay field.  Mom always keeps an eye on us, but that's ok.  We keep an eye on her too.

We need to go outside pretty often to check things out.  You never know when something might need to be herded.

We're watching our special guests right now.  How many cats can you count?  (Hint, there are three) We especially watch our honorary catdog brother, George.  He's the tabby in front and he's also know as Curious George or George of the Jungle. Never know if he's a friend or a foe.  Typical brother. Sometimes he's good for a great game of chase!

This is a Blog Hop!  We're joining in for Fit Dog Friday!

  1. Yeah they have to wear leashes but MaddiethePug is really little and she doesn't have to wear one too much. I don't run away from my mommy and daddy ever.

  2. Yeah, unfortunately city dogs have to follow city rules and it can suck sometimes. We have a big off leash park we can go to but some dogs are not as lucky. :( We would love to live in the country with our own land for our girls to run on. Maybe some day we'll win the lottery.

  3. Yes. The city has a lot more things that could kill dogs! Cars, trucks, various poisons, aggressive dogs etc.

  6. We live on 5 acres and the dogs have the run of the land. They still get excited when I pull out their leashes, because they know we're going for a ride, but I know they wish they could be off leash everywhere.

  7. I can imagine the Aussie - Cat race that is bound to happen occasionally ;-) Great exercise for both species!!

  8. You kids sure are lucky out there in the country! We live in the city but we're lucky enough to have a nice backyard.

  9. Even in the country, Mom would keep us on leash if it wasn't fenced as we take off tracking and who knows when we might come back. She needs to know where we are. You all have fun out there!

  10. We're homebodies, so we don't go too far from Mom and the house. If Mom goes anywhere, we're usually right there too.
