Mischief Monday, Photo Bloopers

Since I make dog stuff and have a website, Etsy site, etc., I take frequent product photos to post.  My skills are improving, as are my models.

Sera has gotten pretty good at posing, especially when treats are involved.

And Gabby does really well, just for attention.  Treats are a nice bonus to her.

Then there is Reba.  She is more anxious than Sera and Gabby and getting her to stand still isn't as easy.  I admit, my training skills could be greatly improved here, but it is what it is.  In this picture, she is testing out this suit and the possibility of escaping it. The suit stayed put, by the way, but the picture wasn't a great example of my training or photography skills.

Here is Reba again.  If the suit wasn't escapeable, maybe SHE could escape!

She did not escape.  But my husband did step in to help her focus and we finally ended up with some useable shots.

Moral of the story; I need to work on training all five dogs.

That is now a goal for me and my furry friends.  We'll see what we can learn!

Monday Mischief

So, I guess I'm the mischievous one this week because I'm just now writing my post.

The dogs are currently looking for mischief, as demonstrated in these picture.  It was a beautiful morning and I just liked these shots.

Monday Mischief, Aussie Style

We haven't really been in any ACTUAL mischief this week, but so much potential!  With all of the animals on the farm, wanted and unwanted, things can get interesting sometimes.

We see the horses a couple of times a day.  They have things like water tanks, which can be great fun or provide a cool drink away from the house.

They also get grain every day.  Sometimes they are messy and we get to clean up!

Then there are the cats, or as we prefer to consider them, the catdogs.  They act alot like us sometimes.  Maybe they think they are dogs? They go hunting for the critters and sometimes we like to get the leftovers until Mom says "gross" or "stop it"!

Then there are the chickens.  They are such weird creatures!  They do keep the bugs down and their grain is kind of tasty too!

This rooster is Jessie's nemesis!  He likes to puff up at her and she steers clear.

We see the cows a couple times a day also.  Jessie is wondering "Where do you want them?" We like to roll in the stuff they drop sometimes.  But it usually gets us a bath, so have to plan accordingly.

Then we have the uninvited, UNWELCOME, guest.  It has been a hot, dry summer, so rattlesnakes have definitely been out.  Don't worry.  This photo was on ZOOM and cropped.  Mom was way back out of striking distance.  She always watches for them because they could be dangerous. Just part of living in the country in our neck of the woods.

Other guests have included deer, birds, bunnies, voles, prairie dogs, a badger or two, hawks, coyotes and the occasional eagle.  Mom even saw 3 BALD EAGLES one morning.  No camera handy, but she says it was really cool!

So many ways to get into mischief here!
