Mischief Monday Aussie Style

Gabby does NOT look happy.
She's not happy here.

Gabby here.  We were outside playing while Mom was working in the garden, doing her garden stuff.  I'm the good girl of the pack.  I stay close.  I am usually pretty calm.  I stay out of trouble.

Yesterday, I went a little farther than usual and found a treasure!!! Something died and it smelled soooooooooooo good.  I had to check it out.

I sniffed it.  I rolled all over it.  I peed on it.  I had to make it a part of me!

I went back to Mom to tell her about the treasure and she made this awful yucky face!  What the heck?

She went on to say that I had to have a bath!  Outside!  In the cold water!  Apparently she did NOT want that smell in the house.

So, here I am, much to my embarrassment, being hosed down in the yard, covered in suds.  Mom made these weird wretching sounds from time to time.  I stood there and looked grumpy.

Finally, she was done and I could go in the house with the rest of the pack.  She was happy again.  I no longer smelled good like my treasure (bummer) but at least all was back to normal.

Maybe next time I find something tantalizing, I  should resist.  Probably not.

Thanks to My Brown Newfies, Snoopys Dog Blog and Alfies Blog for hosting the Monday Mischief blog hop.  Check it out!

  2. Yuk! And why do they always decide to do that on days when you're super busy or company is about to arrive, lol?

  3. Apparently what smells good to you doesn't always smell good to us humans LOL

  5. Oh, poor baby. Even when you are not happy, you are still super cute! But I guess it's a good thing we don't have smell-o-vision internet. :) (Our beagle rolled on a long-dead fish once. Awful!)

  6. BOL - probably not! Thankfully my 3 tend to just rub their necks in dead stuff (which is bad enough), so usually don't have to do the full bath thing.

  8. There seems to be a gross theme today. I am so proud of you Gabby! Your poor women, the wretching, hahaha! What is it about you Aussies? I have a new pal, Teagan, she's a mini Aussie. On our walk the other day she kept rolling in stuff. It smelled so bad/good on the way home. But I know she got a bath so you're not alone. Love Dolly

  10. Yuk! Having a bath is not fun at all! But I'm sure your Mom didn't think it smelt good!
