Tongue Out Tuesday, Aussie Style

Sera on guard!

I'm on guard in my favorite spot, on the back of the dog couch!  I can see everything outside (the front side anyway) so this is a great place to oversee my domain. I'm sometimes joined by my packmates, but since I'm in charge, I get first dibs. Gotta go for now; I think I see the UPS guy coming.

It takes a pack.............Aussies in Charge

Sera here. We are absolutely a multi-pet operation here.  As you can see, I am making sure my brother and sisters are checking out the hay to make sure it is coming in well (I'm not in the picture because I'm behind the camera, overseeing).

Mom and Dad depend on us to keep things in line. We let them know when it's time to get up.  When it's time for breakfast for us dogs and the cat dogs.  When it's time to go feed the horses and chickens and check up on the cows.  When the UPS guy is here. Lots of stuff like that.

Mom and Dad wouldn't know what to do without us.  I'm pretty sure things would all fall apart. Until next time, I've got to go see if Mom is on schedule with her work.

Show Dog Saturday

Breed:  Beauceron

Mom makes dog clothes for a living.  This handsome boy came by her booth and we thought he looked pretty cool!

This is a picture of a Beauceron without the clothes on.  He is pretty nice looking.  We were wondering what kind of dog he is, so Mom checked it out.  Here's what she found.

A Beauceron is a herding dog that came from France.  It was apparently used to develop the Doberman Pinscher (who knew) and is related to the Briard, another herding dog from France. These guys are also used for guard duty as well as herding sheep.

There are not very many in the United States right now, but we hope to be seeing more of them soon.

Hope you have a happy Saturday!

Take Your Dog to Work Day, Aussies in Charge edition

This is a  typical day at work for me and for my "employees".  Don't they work hard?
I'm lucky because I get to take my dogs to work with me every day since I work at home.

Gabby's favorite spot is under my desk while I'm on the computer.  She's actually there right now.

I love having my dogs here with me.  They let me know when UPS is here.  They make me get up and exercise from time to time.  They help me destress.

What's do you love about having your dogs at work?

Baby Pictures on Throw Back Thursday

Thing One and Thing Two, in the beginning

Jessie

Reba

The things are sisters.  Their mother, Sera had them in her one and only litter of puppies.  We were supposed to sell them, but I fell in love with Jessie and my husband fell in love with Reba.

Needless to say, we ended up making them part of the family.  I know, there are those that say you should not keep litter mates, but we didn't plan it. I think it has worked out pretty well. They are now 2 1/2 years old and, although they do have a special connection, they have fit in just great with our other dogs and the family as a whole.

Sometimes, things don't go as planned.  They turn out even better!

We're taking over............. The Aussies are in Charge!!!!!

Hi!  Sera here.  Me and the rest of the pack have been letting Mom think she was in charge.  No more!  We want our own blog, so here goes.  I'm Sera and I am the pack leader.  And here are the rest of the pack.

This is Gabby, sort of the grandma of the group.

This is Jack, the dude.

Here is Reba, thing one.

And Jessie, thing two. The things are sisters.

We are the Aussies in this family and WE are the ones in charge.  Watch for us because we are tired of not getting to give our two barks' worth.  We are super smart and have alot to say.

Until next time...........show your pups some love.
